Introduction
Alright so I’m Myles, I’m 14 and I’m in grade 8. I live in what they call an International Community. I love music, playing sports, pottery, playing pool and girls. I play the guitar so i love playing music too. I used to play soccer but i got bored of it though i still like watching the English Premier League(go Liverpool!!). So now I’m trying out volleyball and its quite nice. Cant wait for school to end to go out and hang with friends.
This teen life project thing really doesn’t make much sense to me but i guess i have to write about it anyway since its counted as homework. Anyways, what I am about to say a lot of people will disagree with me but its ok. i think school isn’t mainly about education. There is a bigger part too school and its about the friends you have. The friends you meet now you will probably remember most of them when your older. The friends you have around you influence you the most. I dunno about you but my friends influence me the most and help me. Meeting the people i meet now is more important to me than my education now. In the future education is needed but friends are needed more especially when you need help. You cant buy friendship but you can buy education(e.g. going to school). When your in trouble your parents and true friends will always be there for you. I’m not telling everyone to drop out of school and concentrate on your social life. This is what i feel school is meant to do. I may seem extremely stupid write like this but this is how i feel and if u don’t like it….

This intro looks like a good start, but it is a bit brief. You haven’t really gotten into the meat of this project, and that is- How do you see yourself fitting into your community and the world? Please see if you can dig a bit deeper. Go to this site and click on First Thoughts and Questions and read the questions some of our colleagues are asking. See if you can answer some of their questions. You do not need to add a new post. Edit this one and delete this comment when you are done.

Hey Myles!
I totally agree with your intro. I agree that school is not just for education but friends. I go school for friends. Friendship will last forever and think about it. One day, you me and other friends of us will meet in some place when we got older. It would be so much fun! I aslo agree with your sentence “The friends you have around you influence you the most.” I also think that friends influence you the most. Great job!

Hi Myles!
I think school isn’t mainly about classes and learning only either. I think friends and the people in your class are also a big part. Friends last for life and they help you in the bad situations. I don’t think life would be very good without friends. My friends influence me a lot in a good way too!
